At the recent God’s Love We Deliver Golden Heart Awards in New York, 72-year-old Lynda Carter vehemently denied having any cosmetic surgery and voiced worries about looking strange. Known mostly for playing Wonder Woman, she accepts who she is and avoids having surgery and only uses Botox on occasion. Every day Peloton workout is her key to staying in shape.
“We, as women, possess intricate qualities and an inner strength that defines us,” says Carter, who feels that real beauty transcends age and emphasizes inner strength. She believes that women are the carriers of mankind and welcomes the empowerment that her role as Wonder Woman gave to women from 1975 to 1979 when the TV series ran.
She asks readers to forward the piece to other Wonder Woman aficionados who remember the event with affection since it provides insight into her inspirational message.
